Baumschule Plangger is a Tyrolean tree nursery in Tösens in the Oberland. Our main crop is the thuja - grown in alpine conditions, selected directly in the field and delivered without middlemen.
On top of that we offer ornamental plants, delivery, planting and care. You can simply buy plants from us - or order a complete project.
A hedge in the mountains has it harder than in the lowlands.
Frost far below −20 °C, wind, dry winter sun: many thujas from the trade grow up in the lowlands and only experience these conditions in your garden. The result is brown patches, sparse hedges and replanting.

Tyrolean mountain thuja Smaragd premium
Our mountain thuja Smaragd is grown in alpine conditions in the Tyrolean Oberland. Thanks to the adaptation phase of cultivation in the mountain region, our thujas are ideal for altitudes of 1400–1800 m and frost-resistant down to −34 °C.
Our technology with agrofoil and regular watering produces strong, healthy thujas with dense scale leaves - for beautiful, long-lasting hedges and landscaping.

04Preparation and delivery
The alpine 'Tyrolean mountain thuja Smaragd' 160-220 cm is dug out by hand, tied in self-decomposing jute sacks and replanted at your place as quickly as possible (please reserve these plants in advance).
Thujas from other European countries (traded stock) are always delivered to you in a suitable pot or can be collected by you.
